ie-motion/form
ie-motion/form is a 3D virtual environment that addresses the issues of digital architecture, information space and the medium in which the immersive experience occurs. It consists of an experimental vision of an urban element that responds to data scanned from the World Wide Web. In a will to visualize the global village theory, (rf: Marshall Mc Luhan), this installation permits the user to immerse her/himself through different visualizations of weather conditions from different parts of the world. The virtual environment was modelled both in Alias|Wavefront Maya and Director 8.5. The data is scanned from the National Weather Service's website, the temperature, the time of day, and the wind direction are scanned from four different locations.
