VRML-ART 1999
All artists from the 1999 Show

1999

VRML-ART/3D Web Expo exhibition brings together artists, designers, architects and students from 24 countries to expand the culturally dynamic possibilities of representation in digital space. The 3D works in the exhibition (both offline and online) work not only with VRML, but also with other new, proprietary and specialized software like Blaxxun and Sense 8. This demonstrates the potential for online representation, and how it is continuously being optimized to bring objects and spaces into a more realistic relationship with the viewer. This first international overview of 3D online work confirms the far-reaching interest of the new technology.

An [e-body]
A text/sound space with philosophical musing in a VRML model by Patrick Keller. The aim is to find out one of the entrances (floor level) of the no-body model a black box with green text) in which is located the link to generate a final sound track. Each visitor can "[per]form … e-bodied music", which, (depending the number of sounds produced) the size of files vary between 80-500kb.
